Ways to Save On Office Chairs

Good office chairs in your business don?t necessarily come cheap. However if your not careful, they can cost thousands for no more than lower prices models with a different name. You just pay for the name and occasionally fancier material that doesn?t make a positive difference in comfort. A good office chair should cost somewhere between 250 and 400. There are ergonomic versions, Tall and Large ones, and beyond all in this range.

If you are on a budget, still consider the big picture. The more comfortable and less stressed you and your employees are, the more productive you are. There are potential health concerns too such as back problems, and carpel tunnel syndrome. Beyond that while looking for office furniture, ask about lower priced brands and versions that still feature the same things you want. Also ask about leftovers from last year?s line. You can usually save on close-outs.

Follow-up Repair Service
As with any other significant purchase, you should always ask what happens when it doesn?t work? Do they come and fix it, or provide parts? Who pays what if this happens? How long will the product warranty last, and what turnaround time is to be expected for repairs? These are all good questions to ask.

Ask for a Discount
Nearly all dealers and other sales organizations have flexibility to discount the price they give you. When buying in quantity especially, it?s easier to get them to knock 10, 20, or even 30 percent off. This sometimes applies even more to close-out items as they simply take up room at their store where they are out of the way, but still in the way if you know what I mean.

It?s a good idea to shop as many suppliers as you can, and find the best deal by getting each competing with the others for your business. At least in the beginning this can help you in finding the best supplier that you may deal with for a long time.

Try before you buy
Some suppliers will loan you demonstrator models so you can try them in the normal environment you are buying for. This might be a good reason to spend slightly more, as the end result, you know what you are paying for, and that it works well. Or you can decide it doesn?t, and look for other choices in your quest for the best office chairs.

This will also help better choose for those that are different than you. Such as tall or maybe short people. Letting them try out something will likely bring better answers than you can figure out on your own.

Deciding where to buy
While now-a-days it?s so easy to save online, in some cases this isn?t necessarily the case. First off, office chairs have weight and aren?t necessarily cheap to ship. After shipping you may find yourself paying as much as you would had you purchased locally.

Beyond that, what happens at repair time? Does the online vendor provide any on-site support, or for that matter anything beyond ?contact the manufacturer!? In most cases you will probably find buying locally for these items is wiser.

If you are looking to get the most out of your office, seeing that your employees are comfortable in their work environment in ways that make it easier to do their job is a great balance. Spending a little more may just get you a lot more return.
